On March 14, 2007, forty-three of our freshmen students had the opportunity to visit Western Michigan University’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences. During their visit, they learned about the various types of engineers and participated in a presentation on paper. In addition, they had the opportunity to view three different labs/demos. In one lab/demo, they learned about how to make paper and they made their own paper.
Overall, the experience was wonderful and the students had the opportunity to learn more about engineering, Western Michigan University’s engineering program, and the wonderful scholarship opportunities that are available to students who want to attend Western Michigan University - www.wmich.edu/engineer/.
