MISSION STATEMENT

GRAPCEP’s Mission: To help meet the need for well-trained engineers and scientists for growing businesses of West Michigan and to increase the number of historically under-represented populations in these career fields.

The methods for achieving the mission:

Form working partnerships with the Grand Rapids Public Schools, area businesses, and institutions of higher education.
Bring the members of the working partnerships together to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics and science in the Grand Rapids Public Schools beginning with target high schools and middle schools.
Conduct career exploration and promotional activities that increase student and community awareness regarding careers in engineering and biomedicine.

GRAPCEP is a Grant Program of the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth, Davenport University, Grand Rapids, Michigan
