Davenport University's GRAPCEP Students Connect with Kettering University

In October, GRAPCEP students connected with representatives from Kettering University, including Dr. Stan Liberty, President of Kettering University. On October 10, 2005, Kettering University hosted an information reception at Steelcase. GRAPCEP students that attended got to meet with Kettering staff and students to find out about Kettering's clubs and activities, academic programs, and full-time rotational co-op program. The event went very well. The next day, October 11, 2005, Kettering representatives including Dr. Liberty visited the GRAPCEP School at Creston. According to Carmon Liversedge, Cooperative Education Manager, Dr. Liberty, "really go into the student projects and had a wonderful learning experience at Creston. Kudos to the staff and students for an outstanding job. An informal count shows no less than sixteen times Dr. Liberty mentioned his trip to West Michigan in public presentation he made since." That statement was made less than a week after the visit, so you can tell that Dr. Liberty was very impressed with us!

GRAPCEP and Kettering staff will continue to meet to solidify our partnership and work out opportunities for GRAPCEP students and teachers.
